I never got to the Ethiopian Sunshine Bar and Lounge while it still had Tex-Mex cuisine on its menu (I initially thought that it served a fusion cuisine of the two rather than distinct dishes representing each). However, while walking on New Hampshire Ave the other day (just inside the PG County side), I stumbled across this Ethiopian grocery and mercado Latino pictured above that is slated to open shortly.
Perhaps this development provides tangible evidence of a ‘looming Ethio-Latino political or cultural union’ that I previously blogged about (sarcastically).
