Although this may be stretching the definition of DMV a bit, I was surprised to note that during a weekend excursion to central VA, a farm was selling ‘Ghana baskets’ in addition to the beef, ice cream, cider, and variety of fruits that are its staples.
I wonder if the Africa is a Country folks would be glad to see that these ‘African’ baskets, sold in rural Virginia, are billed as being from Ghana?
I presume that these ‘Bolga baskets’ come from the town of Bolgatanga, in the north of Ghana, near Burkina Faso.
